What a beautiful day outside!

Ok.....so here I am at home...in pain...so not at work. So what am I to do? I have to rest my back so it gets better....so...ignore the vacuuming and the gardens and leaves on the lawn. So here I am laying outside on my back deck with my beloved dog. In the distance I can hear a bunch of crows and think to myself...I wish they would shut up so I could hear the lovely tunes of the smaller birds as I drift off for a nap around 10ish thismorning. Then...the noise of them gets louder...so I look up and there they are chasing an owl over my yard...an owl! I could hardly believe my eyes! This poor fellow needs to sleep during the day and these nasty crows are taking turns dive bombing him and being quite loud in the process! Definitely not an everyday sighting for sure. It landed in the trees beyond the next street....and was surrounded by all the crows who were still dive bombing him in the tree. He passed by twice more while I was out there. Poor owl. I wonder what he did to deserve all of their attention!?

Sounds like neither you, nor the owl were going to get a daytime nap this morning...

Hope your back got rested anyway.

Hey Pocohontas..
What'd you do to your back??

Tamatha said...

Well...I am not quite sure. While I was on vacation the range of mobility in my neck was lower...like if I moved it too far it hurt...and I woke up one day with a migraine-ish headache...then all last week was a stretch for going to work...and Wednesday I had spasms in my back...and so on. I don't know what really happend...perhaps over 1200 kilometers in that small car of ours did some of it!
It's very hard for me to not do things...but I'm trying.

Out here the owls will pick of cats, chickens etc. Apparently they can be a nasty preditor. You'd better watch your cat there ojibway sun goddess!!

Hey Pearl,

Do you need anything? Any help or something?

Amy,
Thanks for the offer...but I can't think of anything that I need. My back is feeling much better today than it was other days this week. I am still taking it easy though...don't want to go backwards in progress.
Shyla and I are going to look after Winston this weekend. (Cindy's boy)
